MECCA

|
For the construction of the IndiePoncho, I had to find a very large number of CDs. Luckily for me, there is a place in Eugene to find old CDs, scrap paper, half-used bottles of tempura paint, and just about every other miscellaneous knick-knack you can think of. This oasis of crafts is called MECCA, or the Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts. The nice ladies at MECCA helped me find over 300 CDs for the IndiePoncho. For 300 CDs, they only charged me $12!

Among those 300 CDs were some great finds. Among the best were:
-8 CDs for installing University of Oregon DuckWeb on your computer, circa 1999
-15+ University of Oregon promotional DVDs
-8 different Phish CDs
-An unopened, still in the shrink wrap Jessica Simpson CD
-The Garfield Movie
-Shrek 2
-Elmo's Potty Time
-50 mini-CDs
-An Introduction to the Eugene/Springfield Fire Department DVD
-Doctor Who: Seasons 2+3
-30+ trial discs for AOL, EarthLink, PeoplePC, and MSN Internet Access
-6 different people's art discs

....and best of all: Somebody's wedding photos.
